  • Who holds the money?
As a client of Awoye Capital, your assets will be held by a third-party custodian, Charles Schwab. Awoye Capital never takes ownership of any of your assets, which remain in a separate account that you own. Your custodian will provide you with independent account statements showing all holdings and activity in your accounts.
  • What can I expect in a relationship if I became a client?
To get you started and then on an ongoing, the process looks like: First we do four 45 minute calls to onboard you and build your financial plan. We can do it as a weekly or bi-weekly call. After those four calls, we move to the monthly financial planning schedule. Where we speak once per month for 45-60 minutes on pre-scheduled financial topics to keep you on track for your financial goals, such as investment planning, taxes, health care, real estate etc. In addition to our monthly financial calls, we reassess client needs and the relationship on a rolling 12 month basis, to make sure we’re always right for each other as a team. With this financial planning process and schedule, you also have access to reach out to us anytime you need help or have random financial questions that you would like insight on. We also add you to the company newsletter, to keep you up to date on everything happening in the markets and economy.
  • Are we a fiduciary Financial Advising Firm?
Yes, as a registered investment advisor we have a fiduciary duty and standard for clients. What is the financial planning process? Financial planning is a multi-step process that provides you with two important things: (1) An in-depth review of your current financial situation, and (2) a blueprint that shows you how to achieve your goals and objectives for the future. It is important to remember that financial planning is a process . . . not an event.
  • Are you an independent financial planner?
Yes, Awoye Capital is an independent registered investment advisory firm. As an independent firm and planner, we’re able to have an open architecture platform that allows us to do our best work for clients without conflicts of interest, biases, or restrictions.
  • What makes Awoye Capital different from other advisors?
We believe in maintaining absolute transparency with our clients and always put their interests ahead of our own. This philosophy has served us well, as we have built long-lasting relationships with clients all across the country. As a client of Awoye Capital, you sleep peaceful at night knowing there are no hidden fees or agendas, just a life advocate who is looking out for what’s best for you and your family.
